When you need a clear next step
Our aim is to make sure you’ve got the correct information to deal with your specific situation. Once we have a few details about your circumstances, we will narrow down and recommend the services that will help you most.
Financial assistance
Support for chemistry students: If you are an undergraduate on an RSC accredited course in the UK or Ireland and you are experiencing unexpected financial hardship, you may be eligible for a grant. We offer support to all students, so you don’t have to be a Royal Society of Chemistry member to apply.
Help when your income is affected: if income that you rely on has been impacted by a change in circumstance, we can offer regular grants to cover essential living costs.
One-off grants for the unexpected: these could cover anything from replacing a broken fridge freezer to getting your car back on the road.
Support for new graduates: it’s rare for someone to immediately find a job in their specialist field after graduating, and many people find themselves searching for longer than they hoped. Breathing space grants give you the time you need to find the role your skills deserve.
Navigating COVID-19: if you, your partner or dependants are feeling the financial impact of the coronavirus pandemic – especially if it has led to changes in your regular income – please speak to us.
